We need to step it up

Hello lovely peer leaders. I'm pretty sure that everyone has forgotten about our blog which is no bueno. But anyways I was just thinking about the commitment we made to host one event per month and so far we have done zero. So I think we should start planning something for this month or at least next month. Guys we are peer leaders!!! Woohooo! Let me know what you think.

Peer Leaders

So recently it came to my attention that there was an application to UC Riverside. However it was due that night. I also know that at least one of the Peer Leaders (not saying names) knew about this application beforehand. Now I don't mean to post this to point fingers or demean anybody, but it's our job to inform the Senior Class of opportunities like this. I found out the night it was due and was scrambling to put up a bulletin on Myspace about it as well as fill out my own application for it. And this was a major program that we should have all applied for because it was GUARANTEED ADMISSION to UC Riverside if accepted. It didn't have a GPA cap for the application or the program so it was an amazing opportunity for some of us who maybe don't have 3.0's to get a shot at going to a UC. As Peer Leaders we are supposed to assist the senior class in their college search and show them as many opportunities as we can. Please remember to do so in the future.

Meet at UOP between 10 am and 10:15 am on Thursday, July 9th. Where do we meet though? I don't know the name of the hall...and I sort of accidentally misplaced my packet, so someone else has to tell me.

What This Is

So basically I thought it would be a good idea to have a place to post new ideas for College Summit throughout next year as well as having a way to get out group ideas quick without having to send e-mails. Here we can proposition new ideas for events in the upcoming year, as well as, for the time being, make sure that everyone gets to College Summit on July 9th. As is appropriate in a school activity blog please refrain from swearing or racial slurs. Thank you.
